Daily Breeze: L.A. County Home Sales Fall, but prices still rising

There isn't much new here in this August 24 Daily Breeze article (link will expire) either. Home sales fell 25.6% in Los Angeles County in July YOY.

The 10 cities in the state with highest median home prices in July 2006 are:

Burlingame          $1,425,000
Calabasas           $1,138,750
Lafayette           $1,170,000
Los Altos           $1,652,000
Los Gatos           $1,030,000
Manhattan Beach     $1,457,750
Mill Valley         $1,198,000
Newport Beach       $1,375,000
Rancho Palos Verdes $1,200,000
Santa Barbara       $1,047,500

The cities with the greatest median home price increases in July YOY are:

Barstow             32.1%
Compton             24.8%
Hercules            35.1%
Inglewood           24.3% 
Laguna Niguel       24.8%
Lodi                24.9%
Loma Linda          28.3%
Mill Valley         31.3%
Morgan Hill         33%
San Juan Capistrano 29.7%
Taft                58.1%
